LUCKNOW: To discuss the new digital challenges and related legal mechanisms an awareness seminar was by the High Court Bar Association in Lucknow on the topic “Challenges of Cyber ​​Crime” on Monday.

In the said seminar, Justice Salil Kumar Rai was present as the chief guest and Prof Triveni Singh, Superintendent of Police, Cyber ​​Crime, UP was the keynote speaker. The seminar was held in the historic library room which was attended by a large number of advocates.

During the seminar, Justice Salil Kumar Rai gave an overview of the scenario. Meanwhile, Prof Triveni Singh who has cracked hundreds of technical cases discussed the real-life cases and the challenges being faced by law enforcement agencies in the investigation, evidence gathering and then prosecution in the courtroom.

Giving out recent trends in cybercrime, Prof Singh said such cases of crime is only increasing and the only way to stop this is by remaining a step ahead of criminals which is by building our technical capacity and by giving stricter punishment in court so that criminals get scared of doing such crimes.

He emphasized that evidence collection in such technical cases is vital as the court announces the verdict based on the facts and proof presented before the judges. We need better lawyers who have a deep understanding of these ever-evolving subjects so that they can assist law enforcement agencies in building a strong case against cybercriminals.

High Court Bar Association, President, R K Ojha, Secretary, S D Singh Jadhaun, Admin Secretary, Sanjay Singh Somvanshi,  Admin Press, Ashutosh  Tripathi, Prashant Kumar, Addl.  Government Advocate were key members behind the seminar.
