BANGALORE: NASSCOM Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on technology for social impact, has announced a partnership with IG Group, a global fintech company. The collaboration aims to provide technical and digital skills to 300 individuals from marginalized communities in Bangalore, between the ages of 21 and 30.

The project will focus on improving the digital and financial literacy of the beneficiaries to enhance their employability prospects. The training will include soft skills, communication skills, and digital and financial education. Technical training in BPO and digital accessibility training will also be provided.

Nidhi Bhasin, CEO of NASSCOM Foundation, highlighted the importance of digital skills in today’s economy and the need to provide such skills to the last mile. The partnership with IG Group is expected to create a future-ready workforce and provide new opportunities for learning and job opportunities for women and people with disabilities from marginalized communities.

Jon Noble, Global Chief Operating Officer of IG Group, stated that the collaboration aligns with the company’s commitment to making a positive impact in the communities where it operates. He believes that digital skills are essential for driving inclusive economic growth and is committed to investing in such initiatives.

The collaboration between NASSCOM Foundation and IG Group is expected to make a significant impact on the lives of disadvantaged women and people with disabilities in Bangalore. It will enable them to participate in the digital economy and build a brighter future for themselves. This partnership is a step towards creating a more equitable society and providing opportunities for those who have been traditionally marginalized.
