For every mother, ensuring their child eats nutritious food is a constant challenge. Vandana Mehta, a Gurugram-based mother, faced this struggle firsthand when she couldn’t find a healthy yet tasty snack for her toddler. Every trip to the supermarket left her disappointed—most cookies and packaged snacks were loaded with preservatives, refined flour, and excessive sugar. Determined to give her daughter a better alternative, she turned to her kitchen.
With just Rs20,000 as an initial investment and a deep passion for baking, Vandana experimented with wholesome ingredients like oats, jaggery, and millet. Her first creation—oatmeal chocolate chip cookies—was met with an unexpected reaction: her daughter loved them. Encouraged by the positive feedback from friends and neighbors, Vandana started baking more frequently. What began as a small initiative to provide homemade snacks soon turned into Chocolat Corner, a brand dedicated to healthy, preservative-free treats.
A Homegrown Brand Rooted in Nutrition and Taste
Unlike most commercial baked goods, Vandana’s products stood out for their clean ingredients and small-batch production. She refused to use pre-mixes and artificial preservatives, ensuring that every cookie, cake, and granola bar was made fresh. Over time, she expanded her offerings, introducing millet-based cookies, oat bars, brownies, plum cakes, and more—all designed to be both nutritious and delicious.

In February 2023, she formally launched Blissfully Yours, a sub-brand under Chocolat Corner, focusing on millet-based snacks. The lineup included ragi walnut cookies, rajgira (amaranth) cookies, bajra (pearl millet) cookies, and granola bars made with peanut butter and almond butter. Among the bestsellers were cranberry oatmeal cookies, loved for their crunchy texture and tangy twist.
Her customer base grew organically, primarily through word-of-mouth. Young mothers, in particular, resonated with her mission, as they, too, sought healthy alternatives for their children. Surbhi Arora, a longtime customer, shared, “I wanted nutritious snacks for my toddler, and Vandana’s ragi cookies were perfect. They’re now a staple in our home.”
Scaling Up: From a Home Kitchen to a Rs32 Lakh Business
What started as a passion project soon gained traction, and demand for Vandana’s products skyrocketed. Chocolat Corner’s revenue touched Rs32 lakh last year, with its products now stocked in 25 retail stores, several cafes, and a dedicated flagship store in Gurugram.
Despite her success, Vandana remains committed to quality over mass production. Each batch of cookies is limited to two to four kilograms, ensuring the freshness and authenticity that set her brand apart. Unlike most bakery items that rely on chemical preservatives, her products maintain a natural shelf life of around six months, thanks to the minimal use of baking powder.

With plans to expand further, Chocolat Corner is not just about cookies and cakes—it’s about reshaping the way families snack, one delicious, nutritious bite at a time.
