In the heart of Chennai, where grand celebrations often leave behind mountains of uneaten food, one man is turning surplus into sustenance. Arun Kumar, regional director of No Food Waste, is on a mission to rescue untouched event food and deliver it to those who need it most.

It all started with a simple realization—while lavish buffets go to waste, countless people sleep hungry. Founded by Padmanaban Gopalan, Dinesh Manickam, and Sudhakar Marimuthu, No Food Waste has grown into a powerful movement, collecting surplus food from weddings, IT companies, and even marathons.

A Call to Action
Whenever someone has extra food, they call the NGO’s helpline. Within hours, their team arrives, checks the food for safety, and distributes it to shelters and low-income communities.

More Than Just Food Rescue
To ensure a steady supply of meals, they’ve even set up a community kitchen in Chennai, preparing 700-800 fresh meals daily. Volunteers, donors, and corporate partners like PayPal, Zoho, and McKinsey keep the mission alive.

Impact That Matters
With 40,000 meals served every month, No Food Waste is not just reducing waste—it’s transforming lives. From disaster relief to daily meal distributions, their work is a testament to the power of collective action.

Join the Movement
Every meal saved is a life touched. Want to be part of this change? Support No Food Waste by donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word.

Together, we can ensure that no plate is wasted and no stomach goes empty
