Jeevan Pramaan Patra Rejected? Common Reasons and the Quickest Way to Resolve It

Millions of pensioners across India now rely on the digital life certificate (DLC)—better known as the Jeevan Pramaan Patra—to avoid standing in long queues at banks. But many still receive a worrying SMS: “Your DLC has been rejected.”
Why does this happen? And how can pensioners resolve it without any hassle? Here’s an easy guide.

What Is a Digital Life Certificate?
The Jeevan Pramaan Patra is an Aadhaar-based biometric certificate that digitally confirms a pensioner’s “life status.”
Once submitted, it goes directly to the Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA), which then processes the monthly pension.

How to Check If Your DLC Was Accepted or Rejected
Pensioners can verify their certificate status anytime:

1. Visit jeevanpramaan.gov.in

2. Enter your Pramaan ID

3. Download the certificate

4. The portal will show the status: Accepted / Pending / Rejected

This method is more reliable than waiting for an SMS alert.

Top Reasons Why a DLC Gets Rejected
Most rejections happen due to incorrect information or biometric errors. Common causes include:

◆Wrong PPO number

◆Incorrect bank/treasury details

◆Name or DOB mismatch with Aadhaar

◆Poor-quality fingerprint/iris scan

◆Biometric mismatch due to ageing

◆Incorrect pension details

◆Technical errors during scanning

Even a small spelling mistake can lead to rejection.

What to Do If Your DLC Is Rejected

A rejected life certificate is not the end—here’s how to fix it:

1. Contact Your Pension Disbursing Agency

Your PDA will tell you the exact reason for rejection.
In most cases, it is due to wrong particulars entered during submission.

2. Generate a Fresh DLC (New Pramaan ID)

You must create a new certificate from scratch:

●Enter accurate details exactly as per Aadhaar

●Ensure clean, clear fingerprint or iris during biometric scan

●Double-check your PPO number, bank details, and date of birth

The Jeevan Pramaan portal clearly states:

“If the DLC is rejected due to wrong particulars, pensioners must generate a fresh Pramaan ID with correct information and biometrics.”

Important:
Digital Life Certificate cannot be used by re-employed or remarried pensioners—they must submit their life certificate offline.

A Faster, Easier Way for Pensioners
With digital submissions available through banks, CSC centres, post offices, and even via a smartphone (if compatible), life certificate submission has become simpler than ever.
But accuracy is key—one wrong detail can delay pension credits.
