The Centre for Police Technology has invited nominations for the Excellence Awards in Cyber Policing 2026, a special recognition aimed at honouring outstanding women police officers who are shaping India’s digital law enforcement landscape. The awards are being organised to mark International Women’s Day on March 8, 2026.
The initiative seeks to celebrate women officers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in combating cybercrime and strengthening technology-driven policing in India.

Recognising Women Leading India’s Cybercrime Fight
Women officers across the country have been playing a crucial role in tackling complex cyber threats, ranging from financial fraud networks to ransomware attacks and dark web crimes. Through their work in cyber investigations, digital forensics, and the development of advanced technology platforms, they are helping law enforcement agencies respond more effectively to the rapidly evolving digital threat landscape.
The awards will recognise officers who have made measurable contributions in areas such as cybercrime investigation, development of cyber laboratories, digital forensic analysis, and policy innovation in cyber policing.

Key Areas of Recognition
The Excellence Awards aim to highlight path-breaking contributions in several key domains of cyber policing, including:
●Investigation of financial fraud, dark web crimes, cyber terrorism, and child exploitation cases
●Establishment and modernization of cyber laboratories and forensic infrastructure
●Development and deployment of technology platforms to enhance policing capabilities
●Contributions to cyber policy formulation and inter-agency coordination frameworks
●Advancements in digital evidence handling, forensic analytics, and courtroom readiness

Nominations Open for Officers Across India
Nominations are open through self-nomination or peer nomination, allowing police officers, senior officials, institutions, and media organisations to recommend deserving candidates.
The organisers hope the awards will highlight inspiring stories of women officers who are strengthening cyber policing systems and building public trust in the digital ecosystem.

Deadline for Nominations
The last date for submitting nominations is March 7, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
