Travel between Faridabad and the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar is set to become significantly faster with the construction of a 31-kilometre six-lane greenfield expressway. The project aims to directly connect Faridabad’s industrial zones with the new airport, reducing travel time to just 15–20 minutes once completed.
Direct Connectivity to Noida International Airport
The expressway will begin from the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway link road near Sector-65 in Faridabad and end near Dayanatpur village close to the Jewar (Noida International) Airport in Uttar Pradesh.
Officials say the project will dramatically improve connectivity between Haryana’s industrial hub Faridabad and the major upcoming aviation hub in Jewar, boosting trade, logistics and regional development.
Six-Lane Expressway Expandable to Eight Lanes
The expressway is planned as a six-lane highway, with provisions to expand it to eight lanes in the future depending on traffic demand.
Of the total 31-km stretch:
●22–24 km will fall in Haryana
●7–9 km will be in Uttar Pradesh
●Route Passing Through 18 Villages
The expressway will pass through 18 villages, including 12 villages in Haryana and 6 in Uttar Pradesh.
Villages in Haryana include:
●Shahpur, Sotai, Chandawali, Bahbalpur, Phafunda, Panhera Khurd, Narhawali, Mehmandpur, Hirapur, Mohna, Kalan and Baghpur.
●Villages in Uttar Pradesh include:
Jhuppa, Phalaida Bangar, Amarpur, Karauli Bangar, Vallabhnagar and Dayanatpur.
Construction Progress and Project Cost
According to officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), construction work is progressing steadily.
Key updates include:
●Around 1,200 pillars (piles) have already been completed
Work on placing girders over the Yamuna River is currently underway
●Nearly 3,000 piles will be constructed as part of the project
●The total estimated cost of the expressway is Rs 2,414 crore.

Expected Completion Timeline
NHAI has set a target of April 2027 for full completion, although some sections of the expressway may become operational by 2026.
Major Boost for NCR Connectivity
Once completed, the expressway will not only reduce travel time but also strengthen connectivity between Faridabad, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and Noida International Airport, creating new opportunities for industry, logistics and economic growth across the NCR region.
