In a major step towards affordable housing, 2,709 economically weaker section (EWS) families in Gurugram were allotted flats under the Chief Minister Housing Scheme, turning a long-awaited dream into reality.
The allotments were carried out through a transparent online lucky draw held at the university campus, in the presence of senior officials and district authorities.
Affordable Homes at Just Rs 1.5 Lakh
Under the scheme, each beneficiary will receive a 200 sq ft flat at a maximum cost of ₹1.5 lakh, making it one of the most accessible housing initiatives for low-income families.

Applicants who deposited ₹10,000 and cleared verification were included in the draw. Authorities ensured that social justice remained a key focus, giving priority to:
