Anil Bhati, a resident of Khanpur village in Greater Noida, was busy preparing for his daughter’s wedding scheduled for April 27. With arrangements in full swing, one critical issue suddenly threatened to derail the entire event—the unavailability of commercial LPG cylinders.
For a large wedding function, around 20 gas cylinders were required to manage food preparation. Despite reaching out to multiple local gas agencies, Bhati was unable to secure the required supply. As time ticked away, anxiety grew, and the situation became increasingly urgent.
A Direct Appeal to the District Magistrate
With no other options left, Bhati approached the District Magistrate, Medha Rupam, submitting a written request explaining his situation. He highlighted that without timely availability of cylinders, the wedding arrangements could collapse.
Recognising the urgency, the District Magistrate immediately directed concerned officials to ensure that the required cylinders were arranged without delay.

What followed was a display of administrative efficiency rarely seen in such situations. Within just 24 hours of the request, all 20 commercial gas cylinders were delivered to Bhati’s residence.
