NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered a case against a Neuro Surgeon at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, and four others, including middlemen and the proprietor of a private surgical shop, on charges of bribery and other illegal activities. In a bid to curb the sale of fake medicines in India and abroad, the government has taken a major step by cancelling the licences of 18 pharma companies. According to a report by NDTV, the government has asked all 18 listed pharma companies to stop manufacturing medicines. The report also states that show cause notices have been issued to 26 other pharma companies. The crackdown is part of the government’s efforts to curb the menace of spurious medicines. MUMBAI: Indian Navy has achieved a significant milestone towards self-reliance in armaments and ammunition by receiving a fully indigenous underwater Rocket RGB 60 fuze YDB-60. The fuze has been manufactured for the first time by private Indian industry – M/s Economic Explosives Limited (EEL), Nagpur. This marks the first time that the Indian Navy has placed a supply order for underwater ammunition fuze on Indian private industry.
