One of the world’s most loved island destinations just got even more tourist-friendly. Visitors to Bali can now enjoy a fully cashless travel experience, thanks to a major digital leap by Bank Indonesia. The launch of the Indonesia Tourist Travel Pack (ITTP) at Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport marks a new chapter in hassle-free international travel.

With this move, Bali aims to strengthen its image as a modern, smart, and globally connected destination—making payments as easy as a tap or scan.

What Is the Indonesia Tourist Travel Pack (
ITTP)?

The ITTP is a convenient digital travel bundle that includes:

●Indonesian SIM card with internet
●Chip-based e-money wallet linked to an e-wallet
●QR-code payment access through Indonesia’s QRIS system

From cafes and markets to temples, hotels, taxis, and shopping streets—tourists can now pay using their smartphones without juggling local currency.

How Does It Work?
Just scan a QR code and pay—simple!

The system plugs into QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard), Indonesia’s nationwide digital payment framework. It’s already widely accepted across the country, making spending smooth, secure, and instant.

Even though cash is still common in Bali, QR payments are quickly becoming the preferred option—especially for young travelers and digital nomads.

To make onboarding easier, authorities have set up a Tourism Information Center at the airport where tourists can:

●Get the ITTP pack
●Learn how to use QRIS
● Access the QRIS Nusantara Tourism Guidebook

The guidebook highlights the best attractions, eateries, markets, and businesses that accept QR payments—ensuring a stress-free travel experience.

Why This Matters

● Boosts Bali’s goal of becoming a fully cashless tourism hub

● Makes travel safer—no need to carry large amounts of cash

● Speeds up transactions at crowded tourist locations

● Enhances Bali’s global competitiveness in tourism

Indonesia is also planning a long-term currency redenomination to simplify numbers—another sign of modernization ahead.

Bali: Now Beautiful and Digital
Whether you’re exploring:

◆Uluwatu Temple
◆Ubud Monkey Forest
◆Tanah Lot
◆Mount Batur
◆Tegalalang Rice Terrace

You can now scan, pay, and enjoy without worrying about currency exchanges or cash shortages.

A New Era for Global Travel
With Thailand, Malaysia, Maldives, and the Philippines making travel easier for Indians, Bali’s cashless push adds another big win for international tourists.

Bali isn’t just a paradise for beach lovers—it’s becoming a paradise for digital travelers too.

Cashless vacations are here. And Bali just made them cooler than ever.
