The Uttar Pradesh government has cancelled the Assistant Professor recruitment examination following serious allegations of irregularities and illegal money collection. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the cancellation after the Special Task Force (STF) uncovered evidence of examination fraud and unlawful financial dealings linked to the recruitment process.
According to official sources, the STF investigation revealed large-scale manipulation in the Assistant Professor exam, raising concerns over the fairness and credibility of the selection process. Taking strict cognisance of the findings, the Chief Minister directed immediate cancellation of the examination to uphold transparency and protect the interests of genuine candidates.

Fresh Exam to Be Conducted Transparently
The Uttar Pradesh government has instructed the State Education Service Selection Commission to conduct the examination again at the earliest, ensuring a fully transparent, fair, and corruption-free process. Authorities have been directed to strengthen monitoring mechanisms to prevent any recurrence of malpractice.
Officials confirmed that the new examination date will be announced soon by the commission. The government reiterated its zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and examination fraud, stating that strict action will be taken against those involved.
The move has been widely seen as a strong message from the Yogi Adityanath-led government against recruitment scams, reinforcing its commitment to merit-based selection and clean governance in the education sector.
