In a major step toward improving emergency response after road accidents, Blinkit has partnered with the Gurugram Traffic Police to expand its free ambulance service across Gurugram.
The initiative aims to ensure that accident victims receive medical assistance within 15 minutes, particularly in areas identified as accident-prone hotspots.
Traffic Police Trained to Use Blinkit App for Emergency Calls
As part of the programme, a special training session was organised for traffic police personnel at the city’s traffic tower.
The session was led by Rajesh Mohan, who explained how officers can use the Blinkit app to quickly request ambulances during road accidents.
Officials said the training will help traffic police respond more effectively during emergencies and ensure that injured persons receive immediate medical care.
Two-Wheeler Riders and Pedestrians Most Vulnerable
During the session, DCP Rajesh Mohan highlighted that nearly 50% of road accident fatalities in Gurugram involve two-wheeler riders and pedestrians.
He said timely medical assistance can significantly reduce fatalities in such cases, making rapid ambulance services extremely important.
17 Ambulances Deployed at Major Accident Hotspots
According to Blinkit officials, 17 ambulances have been deployed under the initiative.
These ambulances will be stationed strategically near 16 identified accident black spots in the city to ensure rapid response.
Key locations include:
●Pachgaon Chowk
●Manesar
●Bilaspur Chowk
●Sidharawali Cut
●KMP Expressway
●Sohna Road
Authorities said the ambulances have been positioned in a way that allows them to reach accident sites within minutes.

A Step Toward Safer Roads
Officials believe the collaboration between Blinkit and Gurugram Traffic Police will strengthen the city’s emergency response system and help save lives during road accidents.
By reducing response time and ensuring quicker access to medical care, the initiative aims to improve road safety outcomes in one of the NCR region’s busiest cities.
