In a heartwarming gesture just ahead of Rakshabandhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced a special financial gift for the state’s women under the flagship Ladli Behna Yojana. This festive season, more than 1.31 crore ‘Ladli Sisters’ will receive Rs 1500 in their bank accounts—Rs 1250 as the standard installment and an additional Rs 250 as a Rakhi ‘Shagun’.
But that’s not all—from November 2025, the scheme’s monthly payout will be permanently raised to Rs 1500, strengthening the state’s efforts toward empowering women, especially in rural and economically weaker households.
“This is not just a financial scheme, it’s a revolution of respect, self-reliance, and opportunity for our sisters,” said CM Yadav while making the announcement.
Beyond Cash: A Holistic Approach to Uplifting Women
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Ladli Behna Yojana is more than just cash transfers. The government is already working on linking the scheme to housing, vocational training, self-employment, and skill-building initiatives. This includes support for small businesses, loans for women entrepreneurs, and job-oriented skill programs.
“Our Ladli Sisters deserve not just support but dignity and independence,” CM Yadav added.
Quick Highlights:
Rs 1500 to be credited in early August (Rs 1250 regular + Rs 250 Rakhi bonus)
Monthly aid increases to Rs 1500 from November 2025
Skill development, employment programs, and housing support underway
Over 1.3 crore women across MP will benefit

A Step Towards Women-Led Development
Since its inception, Ladli Behna Yojana has become a pillar of women-centric governance in Madhya Pradesh. With consistent increases in financial aid and expansion into employment and housing, it aims to ensure that every woman in the state can stand tall with pride and security.
