The Delhi Development Authority,”urban planning authority delhi”(DDA) is set to expand its popular hot air balloon rides in the capital, with a fresh launch at entity point of interest,Asita Park, delhi riverside park from January 31. The move comes after the overwhelming response to balloon rides at,Baansera Park, delhi bamboo park, which quickly emerged as a weekend attraction for families and tourists.
This initiative is part of DDA’s broader push to transform Delhi’s riverfront and public spaces into vibrant recreational hubs.

Boost to Tourism and Riverfront Recreation
Officials said the ballooning experience is designed to be safe, controlled, and accessible, with limited lift height and strict protocols. The aim is to position hot air ballooning as a regular leisure activity along the Yamuna, not just a one-time attraction.
With sweeping views of Delhi’s skyline, green parks, and the river, the rides are expected to attract:
●Families
●Tourists
●Photography enthusiasts
●Adventure seekers
The initiative also aligns with DDA’s vision of making Delhi’s public parks more experiential and tourism-friendly.

From Trial to Public Launch in Just Days
DDA officials noted that at Baansera Park, the service opened to the public within four days of successful trials. The same fast-track model will be followed at Asita Park and other upcoming locations.
If the response remains strong, balloon rides could soon become a permanent feature of Delhi’s urban leisure landscape.
