Delhi Police has once again secured the top rank among all States and Union Territories in the implementation of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS), according to the January 2026 Pragati Dashboard rankings.
This marks a continuation of its strong performance streak, after achieving a perfect 100% score for three consecutive months — October, November and December 2025.
How Rankings Are Decided
The ranking is based on performance parameters monitored by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). The Pragati Dashboard evaluates states and UTs on:
●Quality and accuracy of data uploads
●Timeliness of reporting
●Quantity of data entries
●Implementation of national-level crime applications
The assessment includes 15 key governance and performance indicators, such as:
●Connectivity of police stations under CCTNS
●Establishment of Disaster Recovery centres
●Migration of legacy data
●Synchronisation with National Data Centre
●Electronic submission of FIRs to courts
●Delivery of citizen services through State portals

Focus on Digital Policing
Officials said the consistent top ranking highlights Delhi Police’s commitment to technology-driven policing, improved transparency and citizen-centric service delivery.
The Commissioner of Police congratulated the Crime Branch CCTNS team and district units for their coordinated efforts and professionalism. He encouraged officers to continue strengthening digital infrastructure and data governance systems.
With sustained performance in digital crime tracking and governance metrics, Delhi Police has reinforced its position as a national leader in modern policing practices.
