A tragic road accident on the Yamuna Expressway has shaken Greater Noida, where a speeding car allegedly driven by a drunk doctor ran over two real brothers, killing them on the spot. The incident triggered massive outrage, with angry family members and villagers surrounding a nearby police outpost demanding strict action.
Accident Occurred Near Zero Point
According to police, the accident took place late Sunday night near Zero Point on the Yamuna Expressway under the Knowledge Park police station area. The victims were identified as Gaurav Sharma and Manoj Sharma, residents of Kundli Bangar village.
The two brothers were travelling to Greater Noida in a Bolero vehicle to buy clothes when their car ran out of diesel. While they were refuelling the vehicle on the roadside, a high-speed Honda City rammed into them.
Both Brothers Died on the Spot
The impact was so severe that both brothers died instantly. Locals immediately informed the police, who reached the spot and launched an investigation. Eyewitnesses stated that the car was being driven at an extremely high speed.
Accused Identified as Hospital Doctor
Police investigations revealed that the driver was a doctor employed at the emergency department of a private hospital in Greater Noida. Preliminary findings and witness statements indicated that the doctor was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Using CCTV footage and electronic surveillance, the police arrested the accused and seized the vehicle involved in the crash.

Medical Test Confirms Intoxication
Medical examination confirmed alcohol consumption, following which authorities indicated that stricter legal sections could be added to the case. The Honda City car has been seized, and further forensic analysis is underway.
Village in Mourning, Family Protests
The sudden death of the two brothers has left Kundli Bangar village in deep mourning. Family members alleged negligence and demanded the harshest punishment for the accused, stating that a person from a responsible profession acted with gross recklessness.
Police Assure Strict Legal Action
Additional DCP Greater Noida Sudhir Kumar confirmed that the accused has been arrested, the vehicle seized, and the bodies sent for post-mortem. Further legal action will be decided based on the post-mortem and medical reports.
