When Jitendra Gehlawat was just a year old, doctors delivered a heartbreaking verdict to his parents: “He’ll never be able to stand, let alone walk.” Born with cerebral palsy, a disorder affecting movement and posture, he had 80% disability. For many, such a diagnosis might have meant a life of dependence, but for Jitendra, it became a challenge he was determined to overcome.

Growing up, he watched his father, a laborer, return home each day covered in dust, exhausted yet unwavering in his love and commitment to the family. That’s where Jitendra learned resilience—the kind that keeps you going even when the world says you can’t.

Defying the Odds

Despite his physical limitations, Jitendra refused to let his dreams remain out of reach. He set his sights on the UPSC Civil Services Examination, one of India’s toughest exams, to become an IAS officer. However, the journey was far from easy.

Writing was a struggle—his hands trembled with every stroke of the pen. Speaking wasn’t effortless—his words weren’t always clear. Yet, he never gave up. Instead, he pushed through every challenge, proving that determination is stronger than any disability.

A Helping Hand

Jitendra’s turning point came when he found Constable Ajay Grewal’s free UPSC coaching classes. Here, he wasn’t seen for his disability but for his unbreakable will. The coaching center became a place where his grit and intelligence mattered more than his physical struggles.

“I write, even when my hands shake. I speak, even when my words falter. Every day, I remind myself: I will do it,” says Jitendra, his voice filled with unwavering determination.

The Power of a Dream

Today, Jitendra’s story is an inspiration to millions. He is proof that dreams don’t discriminate—whether rich or poor, able-bodied or disabled, anyone with passion and perseverance can achieve greatness.

His journey isn’t just about battling cerebral palsy; it’s about fighting limitations, breaking barriers, and proving that no obstacle is too big when you refuse to give up.

Jitendra Gehlawat stands today—not just on his feet, but for his dreams, his future, and for everyone who dares to defy the impossible.
