Residents of La Residentia Society in Greater Noida have started a peaceful protest against the builder, accusing the developer of failing to provide basic facilities despite receiving full payment for flats.
Frustrated residents gathered near Gate No. 1 of the society and launched a 10-day sit-in protest, raising a unique slogan:
“Hey God, please listen to us—take this builder back.”
Residents said the protest will continue until their demands are addressed and essential facilities in the society are restored.
Residents Allege Incomplete Facilities Despite Full Payment
According to residents participating in the protest, they paid the entire cost of their apartments, yet several promised amenities remain incomplete or poorly maintained.
Homeowners claim they frequently face issues related to:
●Malfunctioning lifts
●Water shortage
●Poor sanitation and cleanliness
●Security concerns in the society
Many residents say daily life in the housing complex has become increasingly difficult due to the lack of proper maintenance and infrastructure.
Maintenance Charges Increased by 40%
Adding to the residents’ frustration, the builder management recently increased maintenance charges by nearly 40 percent, according to society members.
Residents including Abhishek, Sumil and Ashish alleged that despite the sharp increase in charges, the quality of services has not improved.
They claim that the builder had promised better maintenance and management of facilities but has failed to deliver on those commitments.
Water Shortage a Major Concern
One of the most serious problems highlighted by residents is the frequent water shortage in the society.
Families living in the complex say they are often forced to struggle for basic water supply, while still being asked to pay higher maintenance fees.
Residents say this situation has left them feeling helpless, prompting them to organise the protest.

Protest to Continue Until Navratri Ends
The residents announced that their peaceful sit-in protest will continue until the final day of the Navratri festival if their grievances remain unresolved.
They have demanded immediate action from the builder to ensure:
●Proper maintenance of lifts
●Reliable water supply
●Improved cleanliness and security
●Transparent use of maintenance charges
Residents say they hope the protest will draw attention from authorities and lead to a quick resolution of the issues faced by hundreds of families living in the society.
