The Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station, located on the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, is set to undergo a major transformation. The station will soon emerge as a shopping, dining and lifestyle hub, moving beyond its role as just a transit point for commuters.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has taken a significant step towards large-scale commercial development at the station, aimed at enhancing passenger experience and generating non-fare revenue.
Rooftop restaurants and food outlets planned
As part of the new development plan, NCRTC has invited tenders for licensing property development areas within the station premises. The proposal includes the creation of rooftop restaurants, cafés, food outlets and retail spaces, offering commuters and nearby residents a vibrant place to shop, eat and relax.
Once operational, the station is expected to become a popular destination not only for daily travellers but also for people living in surrounding areas.
Commercial spaces to be offered through tender
The commercial area at Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station will be allotted through a tender-based licensing process. A total area of approximately 18,778 square metres will be made available for commercial use at a fixed licence fee.
According to NCRTC, this initiative will allow visitors to access shopping and dining facilities within the station complex itself, reducing the need to travel elsewhere for daily needs or leisure activities.
Focus on increasing non-fare revenue
A key objective of this development is to boost non-fare revenue, which plays a crucial role in the long-term sustainability of large transport projects. The licence period for these commercial spaces has been fixed at 25 years, providing stability for investors and developers.
Interested bidders can apply through the e-tendering process, with the last date for submission set as February 4, 2026. Detailed tender information is available on the official NCRTC website.

Commercial spaces across multiple levels
Under the proposal, commercial spaces will be developed across various levels of the station:
Ground floor: 4,229 square metres
Upper Level 1 and 2: 11,914 square metres
Core-A floors: 2,435 square metres
This multi-level development is expected to create a lively and well-integrated commercial environment within the station.
Boost for local businesses and jobs
NCRTC aims to encourage the participation of local vendors, retailers and service providers. Officials said the project will help create employment opportunities, support small businesses and contribute to the local economy.
The commercial spaces may include fine-dining and rooftop restaurants, cafés, retail stores, showrooms, banquet halls, pharmacies, medical and wellness centres, hotels and outlets selling regional products.
Strategic location adds value
The Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station is located in a densely populated area, close to a major bus terminal and well-developed residential localities such as Patel Nagar, Raj Nagar, Arya Nagar and Kavi Nagar. With strong connectivity to the Delhi Metro and other transport modes, the station is ideally positioned to become a new urban lifestyle and commercial hub.
Beyond a transit point
With this initiative, NCRTC aims to redefine how transport infrastructure is used in NCR. Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station is set to evolve into a multi-purpose urban space, combining mobility, commerce and leisure under one roof.
