In a major infrastructure boost, a new expressway connecting New Delhi to Jaipur is nearing completion, promising to revolutionize travel between the National Capital Region (NCR) and Rajasthan’s capital. Once operational, the expressway will cut down the travel time between Delhi and Jaipur to just 2.5 hours, a dramatic improvement from the current average of 5–6 hours.
Designed to cover a distance between 250 and 300 kilometers, the expressway is part of a larger initiative to develop faster, more efficient road networks across India. The project, spearheaded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), is seen as a game-changer for daily commuters, businesses, and tourists alike.
A Seamless Journey for East Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad Commuters
The expressway will include a newly built 67-km-long stretch, providing direct connectivity from East Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad towards Jaipur without the need to pass through congested city routes. A key feature is the interchange at the DND Flyway-KMP Expressway, allowing seamless entry onto the expressway, significantly saving travel time.
Currently, commuters face heavy congestion near Dausa due to narrow roads and local traffic bottlenecks. The new expressway bypasses these trouble spots, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted journey.
Delhi-Jaipur Super Expressway (NH-352B)
Also referred to as the Delhi-Jaipur Super Expressway, the new route serves as an alternative to the existing NH48 Delhi-Jaipur Expressway. With construction work almost complete — only a rail overbridge pending — the entire project is expected to be finished within the next two months.
Prior to its grand opening, NHAI officials are carrying out extensive safety inspections, checking for any defects such as potholes and ensuring the roadway is ready for safe, fast travel.
Key Highlights of the New Expressway:
Distance: Approximately 250–300 km
New Travel Time: 2.5 hours (approx.)
Coverage: 423 villages and 7 districts, including Gurgaon, Jhajjar, Rewari, Mahendergarh, Alwar, Sikar, and Jaipur
Direct Access for: East Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad residents
New Infrastructure: 67-km expressway, DND-KMP interchange
This expressway is expected to greatly ease movement between Delhi and Rajasthan, strengthen trade routes, and boost tourism, providing a critical link for economic growth across the two states.
