Authorities have directed officials to make a key transformer fully functional within two weeks to improve electricity supply reliability in the area. The move is expected to strengthen infrastructure support for residential and industrial consumers.
During a recent inspection, officials reviewed both power infrastructure and sewage treatment operations to ensure uninterrupted essential services.
Focus on Reliable Power Supply
The directive to operationalise the transformer aims to address load management and enhance stability in the power distribution network. Officials said timely activation of the transformer will reduce the risk of outages and improve supply consistency in surrounding sectors.
Ecotech-3 STP Meets Pollution Control Norms
Maintenance and operational performance of the 20 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Sector Ecotech-3 was also assessed.
According to officials, key environmental parameters were found within prescribed Pollution Control Board standards, including:
●Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD)
●Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)
●Total Suspended Solids (TSS)
●Total Nitrogen (TN)
●pH levels
●Chlorination levels were recorded at 5.0 parts per million, indicating compliance with safety requirements.

Push for Maximum Reuse of Treated Water
Authorities have issued directions to prepare a comprehensive plan to maximise the reuse of treated water. The initiative is aimed at promoting sustainable water management, particularly in industrial areas where recycled water can reduce dependency on freshwater sources.
The STP currently caters to sewage generated from Industrial Sector Ecotech-3 and nearby villages, including Habibpur, Sutyana, Jalpura, Haldoni, and Kulesra.
Sustainable Infrastructure Focus
Officials said strengthening both power and wastewater management systems is crucial to supporting rapid urban and industrial expansion in Greater Noida. By ensuring environmental compliance and improving service reliability, authorities aim to enhance overall civic infrastructure in the region.
