India’s business education sector has reached new global heights in 2025, with the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and the Indian School of Business (ISB) securing prestigious spots in international MBA rankings. The Financial Times (FT) Global MBA 2025, QS Global MBA 2026, and Times Higher Education (THE) Business & Economics 2025 lists highlight India’s growing influence in shaping world-class business leaders.
IIMs and ISB Lead the Way
According to the Times of India, ISB Hyderabad emerged as India’s top-ranked business school globally, placed 27th in the FT Global MBA 2025 and 65th in the QS rankings. IIM Ahmedabad followed closely, ranked 31st globally in FT and 58th in QS, reaffirming its dominance in academic excellence and leadership development.
IIM Bangalore also made significant progress, ranked 52nd in QS and 57th in FT, while IIM Calcutta stood at 61st in both rankings. IIM Kozhikode, one of the youngest among the elite group, continues its steady ascent with a global rank of 86 in both FT and QS lists.

Why Indian B-Schools Are Gaining Global Recognition
Experts credit this success to three major factors:
Strong Industry Connections: Indian institutes maintain close links with domestic and international corporations, ensuring job-ready graduates.
Global Exposure: Student exchange programs, international faculty collaborations, and overseas internships have enhanced cross-border learning.
Leadership in Innovation: Modern pedagogy, research-driven curriculum, and technology integration make Indian B-schools globally competitive.
Career Outcomes and Global Placements
Graduates from ISB and IIMs are attracting global recruiters with packages often matching those offered by European and U.S. business schools. Sectors such as consulting, finance, technology, and entrepreneurship remain the top career choices.
India: The Emerging Global Hub for Management Studies
With rising academic reputation and improved infrastructure, India’s management education system is now seen as a cost-effective yet world-class alternative to Western MBA programs. The consistent appearance of IIMs and ISB in global rankings signals that India is fast becoming a global hub for MBA aspirants.
