The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is preparing to take a major step toward boosting foreign investment by planning the development of a Japanese MSME Park within its jurisdiction. Senior officials of the Yamuna Authority recently held a key meeting in Delhi with Japanese entrepreneurs, signalling growing international interest in the rapidly developing region.
The proposal aims to create a dedicated industrial ecosystem for Japanese small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), offering world-class infrastructure and business-friendly facilities. The initiative is expected to strengthen economic ties between India and Japan while accelerating industrial growth in western Uttar Pradesh.
Meeting with JETRO Sparks Positive Response
The meeting was held with representatives of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), a prominent body promoting Japanese investment overseas. Yamuna Authority CEO R.K. Singh and JETRO India Managing Director Takashi Suzuki were among the key participants.
During the interaction, Yamuna Authority officials presented a detailed roadmap for developing the Japanese MSME Park, highlighting land availability, policy incentives, and long-term growth potential. Japanese entrepreneurs reportedly responded positively to the proposal and expressed keen interest in exploring investment opportunities.
Japanese Delegation to Visit Yamuna Authority Region Soon
Following the meeting, it was decided that a Japanese business delegation will soon visit the Yamuna Authority area to assess on-ground infrastructure and facilities. The visit will help investors evaluate logistics, connectivity, and industrial support systems before finalising investment plans.
Officials believe this visit could pave the way for large-scale Japanese investments in the region in the near future.
World-Class Connectivity and Industrial Ecosystem Highlighted
Yamuna Authority officials briefed Japanese entrepreneurs about the region’s rapidly expanding infrastructure, including:
◆Noida International Airport (Jewar), set to become Asia’s largest airport
◆Strong multi-modal connectivity via expressways and rail networks
Upcoming industrial clusters such as:
◆Medical Devices Park
◆Film City
◆Textile and Apparel Park
◆Electronics Manufacturing Park
These projects collectively position the Yamuna Authority area as a major global investment destination.

Boost to Employment and Regional Development
The proposed Japanese MSME Park is expected to generate significant employment opportunities, promote technology transfer, and strengthen the local manufacturing ecosystem. Officials say such focused industrial parks help create a familiar business environment for foreign companies, making investment decisions easier and more sustainable.
With increasing foreign interest and strong government backing, the Yamuna Authority region continues to emerge as one of the fastest-growing industrial hubs in the Delhi-NCR region.
