Amid ongoing LPG supply concerns, authorities in Noida have deployed magistrates across the city to manage distribution and control crowds outside gas agencies.
The move comes after long queues and rising complaints from residents struggling to get LPG cylinders, with many waiting for hours — and in some cases, overnight.
14 Magistrates Monitoring 62 Gas Agencies
The district administration has assigned:
●14 magistrates
●Across 62 LPG gas agencies
Each magistrate will oversee 4–5 agencies, ensuring:
●Proper delivery of booked cylinders
●Fair distribution without irregularities
●Effective crowd management
Officials said the step was taken under the direction of the district magistrate to streamline supply and prevent chaos.
Residents Forced to Wait for Hours
Despite the intervention, ground reality remains challenging.
Outside several agencies, people were seen standing in long queues:
Some residents reported waiting over 24 hours
Many families have run out of cooking gas
Daily wage workers and employees are taking leave to secure cylinders
A resident said:
“I booked my cylinder days ago, but still haven’t received it. I’ve been standing here since yesterday.”
Another woman shared that she had to skip work due to the crisis.
Crackdown on Black Marketing Intensifies
Authorities are also tightening action against illegal practices.
In nearby Ghaziabad, officials seized:
●14 domestic LPG cylinders
●Several were found partially filled and illegally stored
An FIR has been registered under the Essential Commodities Act, with officials suspecting black marketing at inflated prices.
This marks the second such case in three days, prompting stricter inspections.

Supply Pressure Continues Despite Assurances
While authorities maintain there is no official shortage, the situation on the ground suggests supply disruptions and high demand pressure.
The administration has now:
●Increased monitoring
●Deployed magistrates
●Strengthened inspections
to ensure that LPG distribution remains fair, transparent, and accessible.
