KOLKATA: Known for his investigation, administrative skills and effective policing senior IPS officer Kalyan Mukhopadhyay from West Bengal cadre has a beautiful and rare talent.

The talent of drawing beautiful birds on the feathers of birds that have been collected from the ground. Mukhopadhyay in his free time picks fallen feathers of mostly Turkey, Koel and Pigeons and give them a new life by painting a beautiful picture of a bird over it.

IPS Kalyan Mukhopadhyay is DIG CID, Kolkata. He is currently undergoing the 42nd IPS Induction Training Course at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad. He is among the 95 IPS officers who are also part of the training.

Mukhopadhyay is an artist par excellence who takes few minutes to complete his art of the feather of the bird. He mostly uses acrylic colours for his art.
