In a major move to strengthen safety ahead of operations, police in Greater Noida have established five temporary outposts around the upcoming Noida International Airport. The step aims to ensure robust security arrangements and smooth traffic management as the airport prepares for its launch.
Officials said the deployment is part of a broader strategy to secure both internal and external areas of the airport, which is expected to witness high passenger and vehicle movement.
Strategic Locations Identified for Outposts
The newly set up police outposts have been strategically placed to cover key access points and sensitive zones:
●Milestone-32 km
●Cargo terminal
●Domestic terminal
●Milestone 27 km
●Milestone-15 km
According to police, three outposts will function under the Jewar domestic terminal police station for internal security, while two others will operate under nearby police stations for external surveillance.
Increased Patrol for Traffic & Perimeter Control
To further enhance security, multiple patrol vehicles have been deployed across the airport zone.
●7 PCR vans and PRVs deployed
●Continuous patrolling on Yamuna Expressway
●Dedicated monitoring of airport approach roads
Officials confirmed that one PCR van will patrol the stretch from Jewar toll to Falaida cut, while another will focus on the main access road leading to the airport.
Multi-Layer Security System in Place
The new setup reflects a multi-layered security model, covering:
●Internal airport operations
●External periphery monitoring
●Traffic regulation on key routes
Additional PRV vehicles have also been assigned to ensure quick response in case of emergencies.
New Police Stations to Strengthen Security Further
Earlier, authorities had also announced the establishment of two dedicated police stations:
●Jewar Domestic Terminal Police Station
●Jewar International Terminal Police Station
These stations will be staffed with over 80+ personnel, including inspectors and sub-inspectors, to ensure round-the-clock vigilance.
