Amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia, authorities have clarified that domestic LPG supply remains stable in Noida and Ghaziabad, though the waiting period for refilling cylinders has been slightly increased.
Officials confirmed that households are continuing to receive LPG cylinders without disruption. However, the minimum inter-booking period has been increased from 21 days to 25 days to prevent hoarding and ensure fair distribution.
Commercial Supply Limited to Essential Services
Authorities said the temporary supply adjustment mainly affects commercial LPG users, including restaurants and cloud kitchens. Domestic consumers have been given top priority to ensure households do not face inconvenience.
According to officials, Noida has approximately 10 lakh LPG connections, while Ghaziabad has around 12 lakh connections. Only a small portion—about 8,000 in Noida and 15,000 in Ghaziabad—fall under the commercial category.
Officials clarified that essential services such as hospitals, hostels, and educational institutions will continue to receive commercial LPG supply without interruption.
Government Prioritises Household Consumers
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas stated that the decision was taken to ensure uninterrupted supply for domestic consumers.
Authorities also introduced the 25-day booking cycle to reduce the possibility of black marketing and hoarding during the current international situation.
To address requests from other commercial sectors, a committee comprising executive directors from oil marketing companies has been formed to review supply requests.

Gas Agencies Directed to Ensure Smooth Supply
District supply officials in both cities have held meetings with LPG distributors to ensure households continue receiving cylinders without delay.
Instructions have been issued to 64 LPG distribution agencies in Noida and 95 agencies in Ghaziabad to strictly follow the guidelines and avoid denying cylinders to domestic users once their booking cycle is completed.
PNG and CNG Supply Remains Unaffected
Authorities also confirmed that the supply of piped natural gas (PNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) remains stable in the region.
The gas distribution network in western Uttar Pradesh is connected to the Hazira-Vijaipur-Jagdishpur Pipeline, operated by GAIL (India) Limited, which plays a key role in supplying natural gas across several states.
Officials added that major LPG bottling plants serving the region, including facilities operated by Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, currently have adequate stock.
Authorities assured residents that there is no immediate shortage of domestic LPG and supply will continue as usual.
