In a strict move to improve civic maintenance, the Noida Authority has removed six sanitation workers and taken disciplinary action against several officials after a surprise inspection revealed poor sanitation conditions in multiple sectors of Noida.
The inspection was conducted by Krishna Karunesh, who reviewed sanitation, drainage, road conditions, encroachments and door-to-door waste collection systems across several sectors.

Sanitation Workers Removed Over Poor Cleanliness
During the inspection, large heaps of garbage were found in several locations, prompting immediate action.
In Sector 8, a pile of rubbish was discovered near E-9. Sanitation workers Rahul and Soni, along with health supervisor Shriprakash Mishra, who were responsible for the area, were removed from duty.
In Sector 57, garbage and debris were found near house numbers C-4 and between C-60 and C-63. Sanitation worker Azad was removed, while the salary of junior engineer Harendra Malik was withheld for ten days.

More Action in Sector 63
Further inspection in Sector 63 revealed garbage, dry leaves and branches lying on roads and central verges. A drain in the area was also found clogged with waste.
Following the findings, sanitation worker Dharmveer and supervisor Akash were removed from their duties. Authorities also issued a warning to the concerned manager and served a notice to the contractor, cautioning that they could be blacklisted if sanitation work does not improve.

Rs 5 Lakh Penalty on Waste Collection Agency
Officials also found irregularities in door-to-door waste collection services.
The CEO directed authorities to impose a Rs 5 lakh penalty on the agency responsible for the work, AG Enviro Infra Project Pvt Ltd, for unsatisfactory performance.

Civic Repairs and Encroachment Removal Ordered
The inspection also highlighted several damaged drains and civic issues across the city.
Authorities were instructed to:
●Repair damaged drains in multiple sectors
●Install precast slabs over drains near the H-block market in Sector 11
●Remove garbage lying in open areas in Sector 55
●Clear horticulture waste and leaves from roads in Sector 62
●Reopen and clean a blocked service road for public use
Officials were also directed to remove encroachments near a Hanuman temple in Baraula village, where huts had been constructed on authority land.

Survey of Banquet Halls Ordered
During the inspection, the CEO also instructed officials to conduct a survey of banquet halls across Noida and undertake renovation work wherever required.
Officials said the strict action is part of the authority’s effort to ensure better sanitation and civic maintenance across the rapidly growing city.
