The Noida Police Commissionerate has emerged as the top-performing police unit in Uttar Pradesh in terms of public grievance redressal, according to the December 2025 evaluation report released by the Chief Minister’s Office.
The report marks a major achievement for Gautam Buddh Nagar police, highlighting its commitment to listening to citizens and delivering timely, transparent, and effective solutions to public complaints.
Strong performance in women safety and crime control
As per the assessment, Noida Police also performed significantly better than the state average in controlling crimes against women and taking decisive action against organised crime networks. Officials credited this success to prompt action on complaints, continuous monitoring, and a strong follow-up mechanism.
The report indicates that systematic grievance handling has played a key role in improving overall policing outcomes and strengthening public confidence.
26 police stations secure top IGRS rankings
Out of all police stations in the district, 26 police stations achieved first rank in the IGRS (Integrated Grievance Redressal System) rankings. Only Jarcha police station did not feature among the top performers.
This collective performance reflects consistent efforts at the ground level to resolve citizen grievances efficiently and within stipulated timelines.
Commissioner announces rewards for top-performing teams
Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh announced that IGRS team in-charges, station house officers, and operators from the top-performing police stations will be rewarded for their exemplary work.
She attributed the achievement to the dedication of frontline police personnel and an improved feedback-based monitoring system. “The real credit goes to officers and staff working at the grassroots level who ensure complaints are addressed with seriousness and sensitivity,” she said.
Model for citizen-centric policing
The recognition is being seen as a model of citizen-centric policing, where accountability, responsiveness, and use of digital grievance platforms have resulted in measurable outcomes.
With this top ranking, Noida Police has set a benchmark for other districts in Uttar Pradesh, reinforcing the importance of trust-based policing and efficient grievance redressal mechanisms.
