In a significant move to strengthen urban security, the police in Noida and Greater Noida will carry out a comprehensive security audit of residential sectors, housing societies, and key establishments between April 5 and April 7.
The campaign, led under the supervision of senior officers, aims to evaluate existing safety arrangements and identify gaps that could pose risks to residents. Authorities have made it clear that any negligence or violation of prescribed norms will invite strict legal action.

Focus on Ground-Level Security: Guards, Gates and Digital Systems
The audit will closely examine how security functions at the ground level inside societies. Police teams will inspect whether private security guards are properly deployed, trained, and performing their duties effectively.
Special attention will be given to entry and exit systems, including manual registers and digital access systems installed in many modern societies. Officials will verify whether visitor records are being maintained accurately and whether access control measures are being followed without lapses.
The objective is to ensure that no unauthorized person or vehicle can enter residential areas without proper checks.

CCTV Surveillance and Night Security Under Strict Review
Another major focus area of the audit will be surveillance infrastructure. Police teams will assess the number of CCTV cameras installed, their working condition, and how long the footage is stored.
Night-time security arrangements will also be reviewed in detail, including patrolling systems and response mechanisms. Authorities believe that many incidents can be prevented if surveillance and night vigilance are strengthened effectively.

Verification of Security Guards and Agencies
The campaign will also look into the background verification of security personnel deployed across societies. Police will collect data from security agencies and cross-check whether proper verification procedures have been followed.
If any guard is found working without proper verification or with suspicious credentials, strict action will be taken against both the individual and the agency responsible.

Awareness Drive Alongside Inspection
Along with inspection, the police will run awareness campaigns within societies to educate residents about safety measures.
Residents will be informed about emergency helpline numbers, cybercrime awareness, and steps to ensure personal and community safety. They will also be encouraged to report any suspicious activity immediately.
This dual approach—inspection plus awareness—is aimed at building a more alert and responsive community environment.

Leadership Emphasises Preventive Policing
According to officials, including Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, the initiative is part of a broader effort to adopt preventive policing rather than reactive action.
With hundreds of societies and rapidly growing urban clusters in Noida and Greater Noida, authorities believe that regular audits are essential to maintain a strong and reliable security framework.
