In a move aimed at simplifying access to municipal services, the Municipal Corporation Gurugram has launched a Citizen Facilitation Centre to provide multiple civic services under one roof in Gurugram.
The new centre has been established at the community centre in Ward-25, Sector-14, allowing residents to complete several government-related tasks without visiting multiple offices.
Officials said the initiative is designed to save time for citizens and make the delivery of municipal services more transparent and efficient.
One-Stop Centre for Multiple Civic Services
Through the Citizen Facilitation Centre, residents will be able to access a wide range of services related to the municipal corporation.
Key services available at the centre include:
●Property tax services and payments
●Water and sewerage-related services
●Payment of challans
●Birth and death registration
Services related to the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Patra
Apart from these, other administrative services related to the Municipal Corporation Gurugram and the Urban Local Bodies Department will also be provided at the centre.
Officials said the goal is to reduce the need for citizens to visit multiple government offices for basic services.
Faster and Transparent Public Services
According to Pradeep Dahiya, the initiative is part of the corporation’s effort to ensure that residents receive government services in a simple, transparent, and timely manner.
He said citizens will also be able to resolve complaints, complete documentation work, and make various civic payments at the centre with ease.
Encouragement for Citizens to Use the Facility
The municipal commissioner urged residents to make full use of the Citizen Facilitation Centre at the Ward-25 community centre in Sector-14.
Officials believe the new facility will improve public service delivery while reducing bureaucratic delays and inconvenience faced by residents.
Authorities also indicated that similar centres may be considered in other parts of the city in the future if the initiative proves successful.
