In a remarkable move to strengthen employment opportunities in the country, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth across various government departments and organizations on April 26, 2025. The event was conducted through video conferencing, reaffirming the government’s commitment to empowering the youth and enhancing national growth.
The ceremony was part of the 15th edition of Rozgar Mela, a flagship initiative launched to fulfill the Prime Minister’s promise of giving employment generation the highest priority. The Rozgar Mela was held simultaneously at 47 different locations across India, creating a nationwide momentum of opportunity and hope.
The new recruits, selected from different corners of the country, have been appointed to vital roles across multiple Central Government Ministries and Departments. These include the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Labour and Employment, among others. Their induction is expected to infuse fresh energy, ideas, and commitment into the government machinery.
Addressing the newly appointed candidates, Prime Minister Modi congratulated them and highlighted the importance of their roles in driving the country’s development journey. He urged the recruits to work with full dedication, integrity, and a sense of service towards the nation. Emphasizing the importance of citizen-centric governance, he encouraged them to make a positive difference in the lives of people.
The Prime Minister also underlined the transformative reforms being undertaken by the government to modernize the recruitment process, making it faster, transparent, and more efficient.
