On the solemn occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to the nation, paying rich tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives for the country’s honor during the 1999 Kargil War.

Taking to social media platform X, the Prime Minister said:

He called the day a reminder of the unparalleled courage and indomitable spirit of the Kargil heroes who selflessly defended the tricolor against all odds in the icy heights of Ladakh.

Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed every year on 26th July to commemorate India’s decisive victory over Pakistan in the 1999 Kargil conflict. The day stands as a symbol of patriotic pride, military might, and the undying spirit of India’s armed forces.

From politicians to common citizens, tributes poured in across the country, honoring the supreme sacrifices made by the bravehearts of the Indian Army.
