A jaw-dropping error has stunned a Noida resident after an incomprehensible amount of Rs10,01,35,60,00,00,00,00,00,00,01,00,23,56,00,00,00,00,299 was credited to his deceased mother’s savings account in Kotak Mahindra Bank. To put it in perspective — this amount is several times more than Mukesh Ambani’s total net worth!

The bizarre incident came to light when the man, who had recently visited the bank for closure formalities of his mother’s account, was handed the final statement showing this astronomical figure. The number left him speechless and the bank staff baffled.

Likely a Technical Glitch
According to early reports, bank officials suspect a major technical or clerical error in the backend system that may have led to the inflation of the account balance. Kotak Mahindra Bank has launched an internal investigation, and senior IT teams have been roped in to trace the error.

“We are treating this matter with utmost seriousness. We assure customers that their money is safe and such anomalies are being addressed,” a Kotak spokesperson said.

Netizens React
The story went viral overnight, sparking a meme fest and endless jokes on social media. Some netizens jokingly called the man the “Richest Indian by mistake”, while others questioned the security of digital banking systems.

One Twitter user commented:
“Modiji, bas ek baar galti se hi sahi, mujhe bhi billion-dollar transfer ho jaye!”

RBI & Cyber Teams Involved
Sources claim that RBI has taken cognizance of the issue and has asked for a detailed report. Cybersecurity experts have also been roped in to ensure there was no external hacking attempt or data breach.
