LUCKNOW: To support and encourage new women in the police force, Uttar Pradesh DGP Devendra Singh Chauhan inaugurated a world-class Creche facility at Intelligence Headquarter In Lucknow. The dynamic DGP also has the charge of DG Intelligence.
The childcare facility here will run around the clock, adding a splash of colour and happiness to the police station, and two female constables have been assigned to care for the youngsters. Children under the age of ten are welcome to visit the centre.
According to senior police officers, the crèche will help police staff strike a work-life balance. This will help them in performing their duties as caregivers and ensuring an inclusive working environment for all.
The world-class creche is designed keeping in mind all the requirements of children. It has dedicated space to play, learn and rest.
The centre is equipped with modern toys and books which were handpicked by parents, ensuring quality and safety.
The centre has soft, foldable furniture, sleeping mats, utensils and a kitchen. Special care has been taken in designing the centre as a dedicated room is given for the mothers to feed. There will be an appointment of two full-time caretakers.
The initiative aims at supporting women at work and encouraging more women to choose the police force.
