In a strong anti-corruption push, the Uttar Pradesh government has issued a stern warning to all government employees and officers: failure to disclose movable and immovable property details will invite strict legal action, including denial of promotion and possible dismissal from service.
The state government has made it mandatory for all employees across departments to submit complete property declarations on the official government portal. Departments have been instructed to ensure full compliance, failing which disciplinary action will be initiated.
No Property Disclosure, No Promotion
According to official directives, any government employee or officer who fails to submit property details will be barred from promotion. The government has clarified that non-compliance will not be treated lightly and may lead to departmental inquiry, legal proceedings, and even termination from service.
This move is part of Uttar Pradesh’s broader strategy to strengthen transparency, curb corruption, and ensure accountability in public service.
Basic Education Department Issues Strict Orders
The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department has issued especially strict instructions to its officers and staff. All teachers, non-teaching staff, and departmental officers have been directed to immediately upload their property details on the Sampada Portal.
Officials failing to comply will not only lose promotion opportunities but will also face disciplinary and legal action as per service rules.

January 31 Deadline Is Final
As per official orders, property details for the year 2025 must be uploaded by January 31, 2026. The facility to upload details opened on January 1, 2026.
Director General of School Education Monika Rani stated that the issue will be reviewed during departmental selection committee meetings scheduled from February 1. Employees who fail to submit their property declarations will not be considered for promotion.
She further instructed all departmental heads to ensure that property details of officers, teachers, and non-teaching staff under their control are uploaded within the deadline.
Clear Message from the Government
The Uttar Pradesh government has sent a clear and uncompromising message: transparency is no longer optional. Strict enforcement of property disclosure norms is expected to act as a strong deterrent against corruption and misuse of public office.
