In a landmark initiative, the Uttar Pradesh government is set to revolutionize highway travel by developing 12 world-class expressway hubs along the Purvanchal and Bundelkhand Expressways. These hubs, to be developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), will offer a wide range of modern amenities, turning these expressways into fully-equipped smart transit corridors.
The move aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of enhancing road infrastructure and providing smooth, comfortable, and future-ready travel experiences for commuters, tourists, and logistics players alike.
What’s in Store?
Each e-way hub will function like a modern passenger service centre (PSC), offering:
EV Charging Stations to support India’s green mobility mission
Petrol and CNG Stations for conventional vehicles
Budget and Business Hotels for comfortable stays
Food Courts and Cafeterias for travelers
Retail Outlets & Commercial Spaces to boost local businesses
Logistics Parks to support transporters and industrial movement
Play Zones, Parks & Recreation Areas for families and children
Medical Facilities and Emergency Services
Educational Institutions and Community Services

Banda – 10 hectares
Hamirpur – 10 hectares
Jalaun – 2 hubs, 10 hectares each on both sides
Purvanchal Expressway (8 Hubs):
Barabanki – 10 hectares

Mau – 10.10 hectares
Ghazipur – 10.52 hectares

With a total development area of over 81 hectares, this initiative is not just about rest stops—it’s about building smart cities on highways. The plan is expected to significantly uplift the regional economy, promote electric mobility, ease long-distance travel, and create employment opportunities.
