“You’re wasting electricity!” — A sentence we’ve all heard growing up. But while we switched off fans and lights at home, one Indian engineer saw a much bigger problem.
Meet Bharath Rankawat, an engineer from Haryana who transformed a household frustration into a revolutionary device that now helps 23,000+ users save electricity and lakhs in bills, all while fighting climate change.
The Invention: Enlog
Bharath’s startup Enlog created a real-time power optimisation device that reduces electricity wastage by up to 23%. It automatically monitors energy use, corrects inefficiencies, and detects silent current leakages — an invisible issue that inflates electricity bills across homes and industries.
“Up to 30% of power is wasted in commercial buildings—not out of negligence, but due to the lack of monitoring tools,” says Bharath.
Installed in homes, hotels, co-living spaces, and factories, Enlog has already saved over 4,800 MWh of electricity and cut 4,000 tonnes of carbon emissions — enough to power 1,700 Indian homes for a year.
Small Device, Massive Impact
Size: As small as a USB stick (40mm x 20mm)
Function: Installs behind existing switchboards or distribution panels
Smart Control: Detects when appliances are left running unnecessarily
Data-Driven: Analyses up to 25,000 data points/second
Customised Optimization: Learns user patterns for maximum efficiency
With automatic regulation and real-time feedback, users can now keep their bills and environmental footprint in check—without lifting a finger.
Changing the Game for Businesses
Delhi-based entrepreneur Saurabh Nayak, who manages 20+ hotels and co-living spaces, claims Enlog helped him cut Rs 1.5–Rs 2 lakh/month from electricity bills.
“Our ACs used to run even in empty rooms. Enlog flagged this in real-time and automated shutdowns. It’s a no-brainer now,” he says.
From Mercedes to Mission Sustainability
Before founding Enlog in 2019, Bharath worked with Mercedes-Benz, Ford, and CarDekho. But it was a conversation with his father in power-scarce Fatehabad that inspired him to solve electricity wastage at scale.
Now, he’s on a mission to bring affordable energy-saving solutions to every Indian home — starting at just Rs 2,000 for domestic users and scaling to Rs 10–15 lakh for large industries.
What’s Next?
Revenue goal: Rs 25 crore by FY26
Solar collaborations: Enlog aims to integrate with renewable systems
Household focus: Plans to launch affordable subscription-based versions for families
Technology That Pays — For You & The Planet
For Bharath, every unit of power saved is a step toward a greener, smarter India.
“Before selling Enlog, we used it at home. My father saw the results. Now, so do thousands of others.”
