In an inspiring tale of perseverance and purpose, Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak, a humble son of Odisha’s tribal soil, has ascended to the coveted post of Collector of Boudh district, etching a powerful narrative of grit and success.

Born and raised in the remote village of Kalingi in Daringbadi block of Kandhamal district, Nayak’s story is not just his own—it echoes the hopes and dreams of countless youths in India’s underdeveloped regions. Surrounded by dense forests and far from urban amenities, young Bibhuti walked the dusty lanes of his village to study in the very school where his father once taught and his mother worked as an Anganwadi worker.

Remarkably, this same school became Nayak’s first job as a teacher, before he set his eyes on something greater—the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Through relentless hard work and deep-rooted values instilled by his family, Nayak cracked one of India’s toughest exams and became a 2020-batch IAS officer.

His administrative journey began as Sub-Collector in Kuchinda (Sambalpur) and later as Additional District Magistrate in Mayurbhanj. Known for his humble demeanor, grassroots connect, and passion for public service, Nayak’s appointment as Boudh Collector has filled his village with pride and joy.

“None from our area has ever achieved such success. Bibhuti is our pride,” says Kanakalata Rana Singh, a resident of Kalingi.

“He was my student—sincere, disciplined, and focused. Seeing him as Collector now is beyond words,” shares Pranabandhu Rana Singh, his school teacher.

His family, particularly his sister-in-law Jita Nayak, beams with pride: “We always knew he was meant for something great. Today, that belief stands true.”

As Bibhuti Nayak takes charge of Boudh, his journey stands as a beacon of hope for rural youth, proving that even the most modest beginnings can lead to the most impactful destinies—with dedication, education, and a dream that refuses to fade.
