The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region is fast transforming into one of North India’s most promising industrial hubs, driven by the upcoming Noida International Airport and rapidly improving road connectivity. The surge in infrastructure development has significantly boosted investor confidence, drawing strong interest from both domestic and global companies.
YEIDA officials say that while proposals for industrial investment are coming in directly and through government channels, the authority’s primary focus is on attracting large, well-known multinational companies. Once anchor companies establish operations in the region, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are expected to follow organically, creating a complete industrial ecosystem.
Land Acquisition to Accelerate Further
To meet the growing demand for industrial land, YEIDA has been actively purchasing land with the consent of farmers across multiple industrial sectors. According to YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh, the authority has already acquired 1,508 acres of land between April and November, spending nearly Rs 2,000 crore.
He added that the Uttar Pradesh government is expected to release an additional Rs 2,500 crore soon, which will further speed up land acquisition and development activities in the region.

Key Industrial Sectors Under Development
YEIDA has acquired land across several strategically located industrial sectors, including Sectors 8, 8A, 10, 11, 28, 29, 32, 33, and 34.
Sectors 8 and 8A, located close to the airport, have already seen land allotments to multiple companies.
Sector 10 is being developed as an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC-2).
Sector 11 is planned as a FinTech City.
Sector 28 houses the Medical Device Park and Uttar Pradesh’s first semiconductor manufacturing unit.
In sectors 28, 29, 32, and 33, YEIDA has resolved land disputes involving over 100 plots, making them ready for allotment. Additionally, land has been acquired for Korean City in Sector 4A and Japanese City in Sector 5A, strengthening the region’s global industrial footprint.
Global Giants Eye YEIDA Region
YEIDA is actively targeting major global corporations such as Apple, Microsoft, GE, Siemens, Wipro, and Philips, particularly in the electronics and high-tech manufacturing sectors. Several companies have already received land allotments or in-principle approvals.
Officials believe these investments will bring thousands of crores in capital inflow and generate large-scale employment opportunities for youth, positioning the YEIDA region as a future industrial powerhouse of India.
