Fire Safety Gets Priority in Noida as Five New Fire Stations, Advanced Equipment Announced

In a significant move to strengthen emergency response infrastructure, the Noida fire department is set to receive a major upgrade in the coming year. With rapid urbanisation, rising high-rise constructions, and expanding industrial activity across Gautam Buddh Nagar, authorities are taking decisive steps to enhance fire safety and disaster management.

According to Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar Chaubey, the district currently operates eight fire stations from permanent buildings, but growing demand has made expansion essential. As part of this plan, five new fire stations are proposed to become operational in the new year.

New Fire Stations Planned in Key Growth Zones
The proposed fire stations will be established in Dadri, Kasna, Ecotech-10, and Jewar, with two stations planned specifically in the Jewar region. Officials say the Jewar area is witnessing fast-paced development due to the upcoming Noida International Airport and allied infrastructure projects, which will significantly increase the need for fire and emergency services.

Land identification for these stations is currently underway. Both Noida Authority and Greater Noida Authority have submitted land proposals, and final approvals are expected soon.

Advanced Firefighting Technology on the Way

To improve firefighting capabilities in high-rise emergencies, the district is also expected to receive a state-of-the-art hydraulic platform capable of reaching heights up to 72 metres. This advanced equipment will be crucial for tackling fires in tall residential and commercial buildings. A proposal has already been sent to the concerned department, and procurement will begin once approvals are granted.

Rs 70 Crore Budget for Modern Equipment
The fire department will also undergo a major technological upgrade. The Noida Authority has allocated ₹40 crore, while the Greater Noida Authority has sanctioned ₹30 crore, taking the total budget to ₹70 crore. This fund will be used to purchase new fire tenders, rescue vehicles, modern firefighting equipment, safety gear, and other essential resources. The tender process for procurement is currently in progress.

Faster Response, Greater Safety
Officials believe that the addition of new fire stations and modern equipment will significantly reduce response time, strengthen emergency preparedness, and help minimise loss of life and property during fire incidents.
As the new year approaches, this major reinforcement of the fire department is expected to bring greater safety and peace of mind to residents of Noida and Greater Noida.
