Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Marks 77th Republic Day with Grand Parade and Honours

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great pride, discipline and patriotic fervour at the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate on Monday, as the tricolour was unfurled in a grand ceremony at the Police Lines in Surajpur.
The event was attended by senior officials, distinguished guests and police personnel, marking a moment of unity and respect for the Constitution and the nation.
The chief guest, Jaswant Saini, Minister of State in the Uttar Pradesh Government (Parliamentary Affairs and Industrial Development), hoisted the national flag in the presence of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh. Following the flag-hoisting ceremony, a spectacular ceremonial parade was held, showcasing discipline, coordination and professionalism of the police force.
The parade was led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Diksha Bhoria as the First Parade Commander, Assistant Commissioner Shakeel Ahmed as the Second Parade Commander, and Sub-Inspector Nekram Singh as the Third Parade Commander. The chief guest took the salute as contingents marched with precision and pride.

Oath to the Constitution and Tribute to Duty
On this historic occasion, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh administered the Preamble of the Indian Constitution oath to all officers and personnel, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the values of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity.
District Magistrate Medha Rupam, Additional Commissioner of Police Dr. Rajeev Narayan Mishra (Law & Order), Additional Commissioner Ajay Kumar, senior police officers and prominent citizens were also present.

92 Officers Honoured, Mahakumbh Service Recognised
As part of the celebrations, officers and personnel who rendered outstanding services were felicitated with Police Medals, DG Disc Bravery Awards, Distinguished Service Insignia and Director General’s Commendation Medals.

In total, 92 police personnel received certificates for commendable performance. Additionally, 716 officers and staff who served during the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj were honoured with Mahakumbh Service Medals and certificates in recognition of their dedication and disciplined service.
To encourage morale, the Police Commissioner announced cash rewards and special leave for the parade participants. Each platoon commander received Rs 5,100, while all parade members were granted three days of reward leave.

Display of Modern Policing Equipment
The event also featured a special exhibition of modern policing resources including:
◆Dial-112 emergency response vehicles
◆Bomb disposal squad
◆Dog squad
◆Forensic van
◆Police radio vehicles
◆Riot control Vajra vehicle
These displays highlighted the preparedness and technological strength of the police force. Children present at the event were also gifted tokens of appreciation, adding warmth to the celebration.
The ceremony concluded with applause, patriotic spirit and renewed commitment to serve society with integrity and dedication.
