As the academic year comes to an end, a unique community-driven initiative is set to bring students, parents, and book lovers together in Noida. The annual free textbook exchange fair will be held this Sunday, aiming to promote reuse, sustainability, and equal access to education.
6 Locations, One Purpose: Share Knowledge
This year, the event expands significantly and will be hosted simultaneously at six locations across the city:
◆Maghdootam Park (Main venue)
◆Alok Vihar 2 (Sector 50)
◆Apex Athena & Golf City Club (Sector 75)
◆Cleo County (Sector 121)
◆Noida Public Library
The fair will run from 10 AM to 1 PM, making it easily accessible for families across different sectors.
Inspired by Delhi’s Daryaganj Book Culture
Organised under the banner of Daryaganj – The Annual Used Textbook Donation Mela, the event draws inspiration from the iconic second-hand book markets of Daryaganj.
The concept is simple yet impactful:
◆ Donate your old textbooks
◆ Pick up books needed for the next academic year
This model not only reduces costs for families but also promotes a culture of sharing.
Community, Sustainability & Education Together
The initiative is led by the Meghdutam Rangmanch team, known for organising social and cultural events. According to organisers, the event goes beyond just book exchange.
●Promotes reuse and sustainability
●Encourages community participation
●Helps students access free study material
Leftover books will be collected by the Noida Public Library and redistributed to schools in need.

Strong Response Expected This Year
Over the years, the fair has gained popularity, with hundreds of books exchanged annually:
●Around 500 textbooks exchanged every March
●Nearly 200 general books exchanged during monthly events
With more locations added this year, organisers expect an even higher turnout and impact.
A Simple Idea with Big Impact
Residents believe that such initiatives help build a stronger, more responsible society. By participating, families not only save money but also contribute to a meaningful cause.
The fair offers a perfect opportunity to:
●Refresh children’s study materials
●Support other students
●Promote eco-friendly habits
