The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has announced a major housing opportunity for residents of the capital under its Nagrik Awas Yojana 2026, offering more than 1,700 flats across multiple income categories in Narela and Siraspur. The scheme aims to promote affordable and planned housing for citizens from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) to High Income Groups (HIG).
According to DDA officials, online registration for the scheme began on January 24, 2026, at 12 noon, while flat bookings will open from January 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM through the official DDA Awaas Portal.
Category-Wise Flat Availability
Under the scheme, flats are being offered at two major locations:
Narela Sector:
HIG: 298 flats
MIG: 459 flats
LIG: 481 flats
EWS: 63 flats
Siraspur Area:
LIG: 411 flats
The distribution reflects DDA’s focus on providing housing primarily to middle- and lower-income groups, while also catering to high-income buyers.
Online Application Process
Applicants are required to apply through the official DDA Awaas Portal (eservices.dda.org.in) by completing online registration and paying a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 2,500.
Once registered, applicants can:
◆Browse available flats by location and income category
◆Select a preferred unit
◆Pay the booking amount to reserve the flat
After booking, DDA will issue a Demand-cum-Allotment Letter, detailing the balance payment schedule and formalities. Applicants must complete all payments within the stipulated timeframe and ensure accurate documentation.
Final ownership will be transferred only after stamp duty payment and property registration are completed.

Booking Amount by Category
The booking amount differs by income category:
HIG Flats: Rs 10,00,000
MIG Flats: Rs 4,00,000
LIG Flats: Rs 1,00,000
EWS Flats: Rs 50,000
Officials said the booking amount will be adjusted against the total flat price once the allotment is confirmed.
Boost to Affordable Urban Housing
Urban planners say the scheme is part of DDA’s ongoing effort to address housing demand in Delhi, especially for salaried professionals, middle-class families, and economically weaker households.
“The Nagrik Awas Yojana is designed to make home ownership more accessible through transparent online allotment and structured payment systems,” a DDA official said.
With thousands of applicants expected to participate, the scheme is likely to witness strong demand, particularly in the LIG and MIG segments.
As bookings open on January 28, interested buyers are advised to complete registration early and review location and category options carefully before selecting their unit.
