Ahead of the Holi festival, Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh took to the streets to review security arrangements and ensure law and order across key areas of the district.
The Police Commissioner carried out a ground inspection in Greater Noida and Central Noida zones, visiting police station areas including Dadri, Jarcha, and Badalpur to assess preparedness for the festival.
On Monday evening, Commissioner Singh conducted a foot march along with Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Dr. Rajiv Narayan Mishra and other police personnel. The team patrolled busy marketplaces, crowded areas and localities with mixed populations to monitor security arrangements.
During the visit, the Police Commissioner also held meetings at police stations with local residents and community representatives. She appealed to citizens to celebrate Holi in an atmosphere of peace, harmony and mutual respect.
Strict Security Measures Ordered
The Commissioner directed officials to ensure:
●Adequate deployment of police personnel
●Continuous monitoring through CCTV cameras and drone surveillance
●Strict vigilance by officers on duty
●Regular patrolling in sensitive areas
She also instructed traffic police to maintain smooth traffic flow and take strict action against drunk driving during the festival.
Additionally, police officers were asked to identify individuals with criminal tendencies who could disturb public order and take preventive legal action against them.

Several senior officers were present during the inspection, including DCP Greater Noida Dr. Praveen Ranjan Singh, DCP Central Noida Shakti Mohan Awasthi, ADCP Greater Noida Sudhir Kumar, ADCP Central Noida R.K. Gautam, along with other ACPs and officials.
Authorities said these measures aim to ensure that residents celebrate Holi safely and peacefully across the district.
