To ensure residents enjoy Holi celebrations without water shortages, the Noida Authority has announced an additional water supply cycle for the festival day. Officials said water will be supplied three times a day instead of the usual two schedules to meet the surge in demand.
On regular days, Noida receives water supply twice daily—from 6 am to 9 am and from 6 pm to 9 pm. However, for Holi, authorities have added an extra supply slot from 12 noon to 2 pm so residents have adequate water for celebrations, cleaning, and bathing after playing with colours.
Water Supply to Rise to 420 MLD
According to officials, Noida’s average daily water requirement stands at around 320 million litres per day (MLD). For Holi, the supply will be increased to approximately 420 MLD to handle the expected rise in usage.
General Manager (Water) R.P. Singh said the step has been taken to ensure that residents do not face inconvenience during the festival.

Similar Arrangements in Greater Noida
Authorities in Greater Noida have also introduced a special water supply schedule for Holi.
Normally, water is supplied from 7 am to 9:30 am and again from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. On the festival day, an additional supply between 12 noon and 4 pm will be provided to ensure sufficient water availability across residential sectors.
