Nature lovers and photography enthusiasts have a reason to rejoice as Greater Noida Authority is all set to organise a grand three-day Flower Exhibition in February 2026, transforming the city into a vibrant floral paradise. The much-awaited event will be held on February 27, 28 and March 1, 2026, and preparations have already begun in full swing.

The exhibition aims to highlight the city’s growing green infrastructure by bringing together residential sectors, green belts, and major roundabouts under one unified floral theme. According to officials, the event will be organised on a much larger and more inclusive scale compared to previous editions.

City-Wide Participation Planned
Greater Noida Authority’s Horticulture Department has been instructed to ensure active participation from all adopted green spaces. Currently, the city has 29 central verges, 45 green belts, and 41 roundabouts, all of which will play a key role in the exhibition. These areas will be artistically developed and presented as part of the competition.

Each participating sector and green zone will design floral beds (flower plots) based on a selected theme flower. For the 2026 edition, the chosen theme flower is Calendula, known for its bright colours and ornamental appeal. The use of a single theme flower across the city is expected to give the exhibition a visually cohesive and striking identity.

Awards for Best Floral Presentation
To encourage creativity and excellence, the authority will honour the best floral presentations with awards and prizes. Evaluation will be based on aesthetics, innovation, maintenance, and overall visual impact. This competitive element is expected to motivate residents, RWAs, and maintenance agencies to showcase their best efforts.

High-Level Review Meeting Held
To fast-track preparations, Principal General Manager Sandeep Chandra recently chaired a review meeting with senior officials, directing them to ensure seamless coordination and timely execution. The meeting was attended by DGM Horticulture SK Jain, Deputy Director Natholi Singh, Senior Managers Ajit Patel, Rakesh Babu, Ram Kumar, Assistant Director Budh Vilas, Managers Prashant Samadhiya and Mithilesh Kumar.

Promoting Green Urban Living
Officials said the flower exhibition is not just about visual beauty, but also about promoting environmental awareness, urban greenery, and sustainable landscaping practices. The event is expected to attract thousands of visitors, making it one of the key cultural and environmental highlights of early 2026 in Noida-Greater Noida.
