In one of the largest and most tightly monitored state examinations in India, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) successfully conducted the UPPCS 2025 Prelims on Sunday under extraordinary security measures.
After last year’s controversy and protests over an alleged exam breach, the Commission rolled out the strictest surveillance system in its history, ensuring zero malpractice across the state.
AI Cameras, Command Control & Real-Time Alerts
For the first time, UPPSC used a statewide AI-enabled command control system, monitoring live video feeds from all exam centres.
The system generated instant suspicious movement alerts, helping officials act within seconds.
Security was so strict that:
●Every centre was under 360° CCTV surveillance
●Live monitoring teams were deployed
●Special Flying Squads moved across districts for surprise checks
●A dedicated helpline was active for reporting irregularities
Officials confirmed no major malpractice was reported anywhere in the state.

One Inspector for Every 12 Candidates – Toughest Invigilation Norms Ever
To prevent cheating and impersonation, UPPSC enforced:
●1 invigilator for every 12 students
●A centre in-charge at every venue
●Sector magistrates + static magistrates for micro-monitoring
●Police deployment outside each centre
This is the strictest invigilation ratio notified by any major exam authority in India.

Why This Year’s Exam Was Extra Sensitive
Last year’s UPPCS exam saw:
●Question leak allegations
●Protests outside UPPSC office
●A rescheduled exam due to public outcry
Determined to regain trust, the Commission installed:
●New surveillance architecture
●AI-based monitoring
●Strict biometric checks
●Zero tolerance protocols
Officials said the system will now be the standard model for all future UPPSC exams.
