Mumbai recently witnessed a dazzling celebration as top Bollywood celebrities came together to attend the grand sangeet ceremony of Dr Meghna Singh, daughter of noted social activist and entrepreneur Seema Singh. The star-studded event took place at Seema Singh’s luxurious Rs 185 crore residence in Mumbai, making headlines not just for its glam factor but also for the powerful woman behind it.

A Night of Celebrities and Celebration

The sangeet, held on April 16, turned into a Bollywood reunion of sorts. Celebrities such as Shahid Kapoor, Karan Johar, Shilpa Shetty, Arjun Kapoor, Sushmita Sen, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Vaani Kapoor lit up the evening with their presence. Karan Johar and Sushmita Sen took the stage as charming hosts, entertaining the crowd with their charisma and wit. Sushmita stunned in a classic black saree, while Karan made a style statement in a vibrant red sherwani.

One of the most viral moments from the night was Shahid Kapoor’s high-energy performance. Dancing to his hit numbers like Mauja Hi Mauja and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Shahid was later joined on stage by Meghna’s brother, Shrey Singh, making the performance a crowd favorite.

The Woman Behind the Spotlight: Seema Singh

While the evening was full of star power, all eyes were also on Seema Singh, the gracious host and mother of the bride. Known for her philanthropic work, Seema is the founder of Meghashrey NGO, which works to provide quality education and healthcare access to underprivileged children. Her relentless work towards raising awareness about cervical cancer earned her recognition from former President Ram Nath Kovind in 2023.

Married to Mritunjay Kumar Singh, a promoter of Alkem Laboratories, Seema leads a life deeply connected with both the corporate world and social service. Her daughter, Dr Meghna Singh, is a practicing dermatologist and also actively contributes to social causes.

Seema’s connection to the film fraternity is no secret. She has previously hosted many celebrities during grand Diwali parties and charity galas. This grand sangeet celebration further reinforced her position as a respected name within both the philanthropic and entertainment circles.

A Legacy of Glamour and Giving

Despite her elite lifestyle, Seema Singh remains grounded in her mission to give back to society. Through Meghashrey, she continues to support marginalized communities, while also bridging the gap between Bollywood, business, and social activism.

With a stunning residence, a heart rooted in service, and a circle that includes the crèmede la crème of Bollywood, Seema Singh’s story is one of  elegance, and impact.
